With energy prices in Gloucestershire still climbing, we want to help homeowners take back control. For a limited time, you can have a brand-new Midea heat pump installed by Hewer for just £1,500, thanks to the government’s £7,500 Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant.

What’s more, we handle the full application with Ofgem on your behalf, so the switch to greener, cheaper heating is genuinely straightforward.

What the offer includes

First of all, we replace your existing heating system with a complete, commissioned heat pump set-up. As a result, the offer covers:

  • Removal of your existing boiler, hot water cylinder and any water tanks
  • Installation of a new external heat pump
  • A Heat Saviour Plus unvented cylinder, designed and made in-house
  • All required pipework, controls and wiring
  • Full commissioning so the system runs at peak efficiency from day one

In some properties, however, small adjustments are needed to get the best from a heat pump. For example, radiator upgrades are £160 each and secondary pipework is £300. In addition, we’ll walk you through anything required during the free pre-installation survey, so there are no surprises after the fact.

How the £7,500 government grant works

boiler-upgrade-scheme

In short, the Boiler Upgrade Scheme is a UK government incentive for households moving from fossil fuel heating to a low-carbon alternative. As a result, eligible homes in England and Wales can claim £7,500 toward the cost of an air source heat pump.

Furthermore, as an MCS-registered installer, we manage the entire process for you. That means the survey, the application to Ofgem, the design, the install and the sign-off all sit with our team.

Are you eligible?

You may qualify if:

  • You own the property (main residence or a second home)
  • You’re replacing a gas, oil, LPG or electric heating system
  • The property has a valid EPC (and if it doesn’t, we can arrange one for you)
  • The property is in England or Wales

If you’re not sure whether your home qualifies, simply give us a call and we’ll check before you commit to anything.

Why now is the right time

A heat pump is one of the most efficient, lowest-carbon ways to heat a UK home. In particular, the Midea pumps we install are made by one of the world’s leading heating technology manufacturers. On top of that, our engineers know Gloucestershire homes inside out, from Cotswold stone cottages to modern Cheltenham new builds.

With energy costs rising and the BUS grant funded year by year, the homes that move first lock in the savings soonest.

Combine with solar for the complete energy upgrade

In addition, we also install solar PV systems and battery storage. Pair a heat pump with solar and a battery, and you can:

  • Power your heating with your own renewable electricity
  • Store excess generation for use in the evenings
  • Cut your reliance on the grid
  • Protect yourself from future energy price rises

Essentially, it’s the complete home energy solution, and we’ll show you the numbers up front.

On heating oil or LPG? You could get £9,000

If your home runs on heating oil or LPG rather than mains gas, an even larger grant is on the way. From July 2026, the government is raising the Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant to £9,000 for off-grid homes switching from oil or LPG to an air source heat pump.

The reasoning is simple. Off-grid homes tend to pay more for their fuel and have the most to gain from moving to a heat pump, so the bigger grant reflects that.

The process works exactly the same as the £7,500 grant. As an MCS-registered installer, we handle the survey, the Ofgem application, the design, the install and the sign-off for you. The only difference is the amount that comes off your total.

If you are on oil or LPG anywhere in Gloucestershire and thinking about making the switch, get in touch and we will talk you through your options and confirm exactly what you would be eligible for.

How to book your free survey

The offer is open to homeowners and their friends and family, provided the installation is completed before 30 June 2026. Because we expect strong demand at this price point, slots will go quickly.
